huffington post, ugh. it's the one place I can think of that comes close to the "liberal" stereotype you hear from the pundits, which is kind of disappointing.

I read somewhere, someone was making comments about the type of attorney edwards was in the past, and how that is related to his lack of morals. is this run of the mill lawyer hate, or is there some truth to that?

Edwards was a plaintiffs' personal injury lawyer. My experience with that category of lawyers is that they all too often will do whatever it takes to get a judgment regardless of intellectual merit or integrity. That's not to say that plaintiffs' lawyers are as a class worse than defense lawyers -- not at all -- but the poor reputation of Edwards' particular brand is generally justified. I think his specific area was medical malpractice cases against OB/GYNs.

I've gone back and you-tubed a number of his speeches in the last few days: he can be a really solid, charismatic speaker and it's no wonder to me that he won millions as a plaintiffs' PI lawyer.

Yeah, I wasn't aware of this juicy tidbit, which if true is really rather amusing. But you didn't really think Edwards was after the flirty videographer based on her rationalist opinions of medical causation, did you? In what world is Hunter's idiotic view of ESP relevant here? She's flirty and available and maybe even hot, and probably charismatic in some way.
