Boot Camp - Day 9

Today was a good day at boot camp. We did a lot of running particularly for an arms day but I like the days when we run through the neighborhood and stop periodically for exercises. I kept up with the running for most of the time which also felt good ( Read more... )

You may actually gain weight during this time, but its the good kind. You're probably building more muscle mass which weighs more than fat. So if you lose inches but gain weight, just know that its a good thing right now (on top of all the cardiovascular exercise you're also getting).

I know you are right, its just so depressing. I need to not focus on the number but I had hoped never to see that number again once I dropped the original 20 lbs I needed to lose.

I do need to eat better too though so that's what tonight will bring hopefully.

REMEMBER: When you do workout like that and focus on strength training your fat will start to reduce and turn into muscle. Muscle weighs more. Some days after I've had a few hard workouts I weigh more and just have to remember that. AFter time, then more fat will reduce and weight loss will come. And now my lecture is over. lol, wait, lecture me, I haven't worked out yet today, too many errands, etc.

I know you and Lollylu are right. As I said to her its just depressing. However, having both of you chime in really helps. (I don't think its lecturing).

Go work out -- as I said to my friend when I texted her at 5:30am, you'll feel great once you work out. :)

Even walking stairs in your house is a great exercise.
