In happier news, I'm now back in the states.

Last night my mother and I heard this weird beeping coming and finally realised it was coming from my suitcase. We couldn't figure out what it was and then I looked at my watch and realised that it was 5:15 am in France and that I had been awake for 24 hours.

I can tell I've been using a French keyboard for too long because my fingers are completely confused. Glad you got back okay. Keep in touch; Tricolour forever!
