It’s Been a Weird Year
I started 2020 with a rubber tube up my... well, urinary tract (to be verbally nice). Even so, I wanted to get my BBQ grill fixed up with new parts. I could have bought a new one but they wanted at least $400 for one that came all setup and delivered. And who needs something that fancy when it’s just me and my cat? Time Marches On
OK, it's now November and I have finally received all of my appliances that I bought. I have a working washer and dryer and even a new refrigerator that I don't need a second mortgage (or even a first) in order to pay the electricity bill for. So, now it's the garbage disposal. I've Been Bad at Posting
OK, I had my prostate surgery (TURP) in January and, less than a week later, I was actually able to pee on my own. Catheter removed. Catheters cause a lot of UTIs, by the way. So, not good to be on them for any length of time. I read somewhere that it takes a year to recover from TURP surgery. I now believe that is accurate. I still have a ( Read more... ) -
Surgery on Wednesday
I guess I should have updated since the last entry. OK: October - had kidney stone thing and,uh, constipation. Found out I had an infection (uti). November - Stopped peeing. Had uti all month. Heck, UTI until .... now. In January. Anyway, they put in a Foley catheter and I've had one in since the beginning of November and will have one in ( Read more... ) -
Been in And Out of The E.R.
Looks like prostate issues may run in the family (along with other medical issues). My urologist (yes, I have one) was tracking my PSA numbers and they shot up. He knows my prostate is enlarged and doesn't think it is cancer, but it might as well be. At the end of October 2019, I had a pain in my side and was constipated. I Haven't Been Online
No, I'm not on Google, Facebook. Twitter or any of those. Basically, I used to be a data security person at the government offices of Los Angeles County. So, I did a lot of research and determined I don't want to be on any of those unless I can go "under-cover" to find some old friends, say "hi", and then get out. It's Been A Long Time
2017 was a rough year. It's amazing how bad your head gets when everything you do, see, touch or whatever goes terribly wrong. I don't even remember when I posted last. Did I mention that Darlene passed away on 12/8/2016? I guess I did. Her memorial service was January 8, 2017 which started off a very bad year for me ( Read more... ) -
The Memorial Service Was Nice
Darlene had already been cremated back in December 2016 so this was just a matter of her friends and family getting on the boat and heading out of the harbor. We all talked about her and our memories. Out of the harbor, the first mate scattered her ashes at sea and we all through flowers into the water.
