So, I think it is safe to say I am unemployed, at least until school starts up again in August. I can consider myself unemployed because financial aid wasn't enough to cover my rent for next month, and I'm about out of money. Grumpy drama post after 4.5 hours of sleep
I think the grumpiness is more psychological than having to do with lack of sleep, because my body is saying, "I'm awake! Feed me coffee and popcorn!" My mind is saying "You did not give enough sleep to me. I want to be asleep ( Read more... ) -

I discovered the Garden District Book Shop today. I bought a couple books, including Weird Louisiana. It's road trip time!!!!!
I had my first "rude tourist" experience, except they were rude to each other and nice to me. I'd just purchased my books and was walking back to my car. There was a group of 6-8 tourists gawking at mansions. That was fine- ( Read more... ) -

Real magic in the world
I found a magical place in City Park, which is across the street from my apartment. It's a tree that has dozens of wind chimes attached to its branches. I probably spent a half hour underneath it, lost in the musical sounds it makes. This isn't the best example of how awesome it is, but it's the best I can do.
