haha, that was so not my face. it was so creepy. and even if it was (but it wasn't), at least my face was happy (wasn't it called mr. happy?)

and thanks. do you really mean that? wow. thank you a lot. i was looking at you while i was up there, and smiling, and you looked all serious and business-like and didn't smile back. i didn't know whether you were upset, or enjoying the performance. thanks.

needless to say, you owned the trumpet. i actually think my mom has a crush on you. she kept talking about you. "that ben is a real talent on that trumpet! and for a boy his age! it's amazing!" and so on.

As he always thinks he is (rarely correctly) my brother is right. You two sing really well together to the point that even though I had an off night, no one noticed because you two were stealing the show. You sing well and Gabe sings well (and looks really good considering the lack of male vocal talent at parker), and together you two are even better. It's always good when the people I perform with make me look good.

As for Ben, I don't think it is a cold heart. I think it's that he doesn't have one. or maybe it's like the grinch's and it's three sizes to small.

i think the only reason you say that there is a lack of male vocal talent is because almost any girl can sing sweetly. i LOVE becca's voice, and it really is wonderful, but i think it only seems like there are more talented girls because 1)it's easy for us to sing melodies and 2)we sing all the time (much more than the boys do) so it's more noticeable. i actually think there are a good number of boys at our school who can sing.
