So I must say, these past two weeks have felt like august.  the weather, the plants, animals, my mind, it all is just late summer.  Tuesday was the nicest weather I have had out here since June. well exciting times, with the birthday and all.  but I must be solemn, for there has been a tragedy.  my favorite pair of of hiking socks, are dead.  one has a massive hole, the other is ripping and will soon have such a massive hole.  I suppose I'm going to have to find another pair.
