Here is the thing about the pee. It's not that we have a massive odor problem and that is why I cut out the carpet. In all honesty I could barely smell it (though I COULD smell it- D couldn't). It's that THE DOG can smell it and her instinct then is to re-pee. I cannot live with this. I doused that spot with everything short of bleach. The

Try to candy-coat it as much as you want. I will have to think twice before visiting such a stinky dog pee smelling home.

yes, exactly. This is the very point I'm making. This is why I cut out the carpet. While I am living in a Frankenstein carpet house I'm not living in a pee house. But apparently you and TyB ARE. Now who's reconsidering visiting? (i'm talking about me)

then I got hardwood floors.

thankfully the cat (singular - boo!) does not like to pee in the new apartment. however it is only a matter of time before an animal pees on carpet.
