About Word of God, we might have a post about it, I'm not sure, but this might be the best post to discuss it.
I think the last sentence was something like "And all was well for the boy with the scar~~~" or something to that effect. I personally love that it ended on all was well. So powerful.
Teddy is two years older than Victoire, who is a 7th year during the epilogue.
I personally love all of new gens' names... I think they're awesome.
i once read somewhere that the ending sentence was "Harry, where's your scar?" and i was SO EXCITED TO READ IT, but that was a long time ago and i don't even remember where i read it.
OMG, cannot believe we're finally here! I love you guys. Thank you for making the past year so much fun.
As for the epilogue, I hated it upon first read and I don't hate it any less now. It's not that I have a problem with anything specific in this chapter, just.... I don't think it was necessary. I didn't feel I needed to know what happened after. I really wish JKR had left the future to our own imaginations.

Also, it didn't occur to me until I did this re-read, but WHY are all Harry and Ginny's kids named after HIS family and HIS beloved teachers? Did Ginny not get a say into what they named the children she gave birth to? Geez....
I disagree. Luna is their friend and was closer to Ginny from the looks of it, Lily and James are the reason Harry exists, Sirius is the guy who gave Ginny's family shelter in OOTP, Albus is the name of their headmaster and he's the guy Ginny suggested naming their resistance group after (the group that both Harry and Ginny lead up at different times), and Severus is the reason Voldemort didn't kill Harry and probably the reason Ginny wasn't served up to the Carrows on a silver platter.
And George always had dibs on the name Fred, Percy probably named Molly first (and Molly Lily is a crap name anyway), and Bill's already sorta named after Arthur. I guess she could have named a kid Charlie or Ron or something but that kind of assumes no one else will and that Hermione won't want to name her kid Hugo Ronald.

I'm guessing that at least part of it is just that, as the youngest of five (childbearing) siblings, most family names were taken by the time it was her turn.
