Well, you've heard of the Oscars, right? Or perhaps the Golden O's of Star Trek fandom fame. That's the idea of the Journos. There will be a series of polls, culminating in a list of the best of the best fics and authors of Harry Potter fanfiction on LJ in 2004. I think you might want to break up the "best kink" categories because kink entails so many different things to different people. Perhaps "best non-con/doubius consent/cohersion" "best BDSM" and "best other kink"? (In truth I think kink could probably be a whole category all its own, but that's probably because it's eaten my brain.^^;)

Hmmm, I know there's a good bit of Pansy/Draco out there, as well as some Pansy/Hermione. Personally, I'd like to see some Remus/Hermione, I don't think you've got that up there, and it's an underappreciated genre.

I can't believe you said 'believe it or not' for Bellatrix/Ginny. :p

That said, despite my not having updated the masterlist in four months, there are only about sixty fics (give or take), and perhaps fifty written this year. Is it a prolific enough pairing to, and I can't believe I'm saying this, deserve an entire category?

This is a great idea! I've added but don't worry if you get a thingy saying I was trying to join - lj was being a complete bitch and I was clicking everything that I could see. I've sorted it now so just disregard my attempts ;-)

How about Weasley non-cest? I don't know what you would call it, but there's lots of Non-Ron, non-incest Weasley fics out there, probably enough to deserve a category of their own.

Just a thought.

Also, it occurs to me, how about Teacher or adult character femmeslash? Come of the best femmeslash I've read has involved Lily, Narcissa, Hooch, Madam Rosmerta etc. without any students involved at all.
