Author: underlucius Title: Gloria Patri Pairing: Draco/Lucius Challenge: The imitation of good faith is how you stumble upon hate - The Wallflowers, Invisible City
I love the defiance and downright sexiness in the drabble, and then the carefully laid out seduction of Lucius, if that's at all possible. I adore Draco, especially in the longer fic, and the eventual promise of smut (perhaps a smuttier sequel for the jaw-dropped, drooling massses?).
Oh my. That was ruddy brilliant. I don't know where to begin. I'm floored by the sort of dry humor running throughout, and it seems so very paternal. Yet, there's also a sort of supine sensuality pervading all and drawing the reader eteranally back to that great truth of the Lucius/Draco dynamic: their fundamental similarity. I love that Draco's set Lucius up for this depth of affection, and I love that it was so tenderly and brilliantly wrought. There was no squick here, no moment of "how disturbing;" rather, there was an ever-present pride in Draco, a very appropriate admiration that only at the end is implied to be anything else. There were subtleties throughout that made me blink and wonder, but nothing so glaring or pedestrian as outright incest. Lovely. Underlucius, you know I love you madly. Amanuensis, you don't know me, but I adore you as well. Thanks for sharing this amazing bit of work.
