I was rereading the first book..and came to the part where Professor McGonagall is asking Dumbledore if Lily and James are really dead. But McGonagall was in the Order right? Wouldn't members of the Order be the first to know that Voldemort was defeated? And that Lily and James were dead? I don't know. That part has just been nagging at me.

i totally got harry potter and the philosopher's stone in the mail today!

don't ask why i felt the need to own both the british and the american versions, but i do. one day i will buy the spanish version, and one day i will buy the british version with the kid cover.

i actually just wanted to see what was different.

Does anyone else get Harry Potter cravings? Like you'll just be sitting around then all of a sudden you get this undeniable urge to read some Harry Potter?

It happens to me occaisionally. Usually a chapter or two will curb the craving..

I always hear so much about saying anything about The Order of the Phoenix being a spoiler..but the books almost a year old right...? so..shouldnt all Harry Potter fans have read it by now?

I just finished rereading GoF and one little thing bothers me. Reeta Skeeter turns out to be an unregistered animagus just like james and sirius. It just seems that there are too many animagi running around. Hermione makes a big deal that they have to be registered but how are there so many unregisted animagi running around ( Read more... )

I'm kind of interested in reading books about harry potter.
Can you recommend any?
Also, were Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts any good? I mean, were they captivating, or just kind of school books?
I want to read them, but am contemplating whether or not I want to buy them or just borrow them from the library.
