I have a framing nailer if you want to borrow it. It's a little younger than your nailer but was still working great when I used it at the old house in Seattle. I've not used it since so it could probably use a good oil and grease.

Is that a Paslode stick type? (5325S)? If so, it uses the same nails I have

It's a Paslode... and I think I may even have some gas cartridges for it (except that one shouldn't use those if they're aged).

In any case, I know where it is in the garage and can get to it easily so let me know if I should drag it out.

Because nobody, no matter how young or old, should hammer nails in by hand when there's a power tool that will do that for them. :)

I'm sure there are places around here that will rent specialty nailers. Lot cheaper than buying one.

I really should get one of those "plam nailers", I've thought about it from time to time and never done it.
Not 100% convinced they are easier on the user then a hammer
