We're home! And, even though I'm pretty sure I'll miss the maid service, it's good to be home.

This year's Norwescon was interesting - it seems as though there were fewer people but that may have been because of other factors than attendance. Whatever it was, it was nice to not have to feel like a salmon swimming upstream every time we went down ( Read more... )

Started the day at 1PM with my Costuming panel - the audience was tough to get responses from but they started warming up right when we needed to wrap things up. People are getting tired; it's nearly the end. I'm a little whooped, myself. (I tried to write up a post, yesterday morning, but someone set off the fire alarm and I never did get back to it. The 'free wi-fi' here is proving the old adage that 'you get what you pay for'; it may be free but it certainly doesn't work well. Coverage anywhere outside of the lounge is spotty at best. Well... it was a good day, today. Badges were obtained, panel schedules mapped out, I bought a cool t-shirt. Then we went to a panel on Bamboo and it's many properties and uses. Which was surprisingly interesting. The room was standing room only, which surprised the presenter -

Slept in, today, and it was glorious.

Everything gets going at Noon, today. We check in, get our badges, and I get my official schedule. I need to do some prep work for my panels that happen and my first panel is at 5PM, today, rather than 2PM like I thought.

Almost seven weeks ago, I started my Summer Paintings project in which I planned to paint a painting a week and concentrate on both composition and execution of each painting.
