Today I'm reminded of the importance of being adaptable. I like the saying, "The person with the greatest flexibility beats the system". Sometimes, its all about taking a different perspective to find a creative solution. And it usually starts by looking at the big picture of what you are trying to achieve.

Today, I spent the whole afternoon baking with Mom. The whole experience was awesome. Since i've moved out fm home almost six months ago, i hardly get to spend an extended time with her. The grand old dame, the Sun, pushes herself slowly and gingerly above the horizon of the ocean.  She fills the water with her crimson red as she moves upwards, pushing away the dullness of the grey night.  She suddenly explodes with such unexpected vigor as the radiance of her glory reaches out to everyone and everything, bringing with it life!

Bought my first painting tonight.  Its neither a Monet nor a Van Gogh (I wish...), its a Dana Lo.  I'm really pleased with the purchase and i wont hv picked this out without the help of my significant other!!!

Why i like it?  Is subtle yet busy with details.  It doesnt scream for attention (despite the red).  It calls out to you to look further ( Read more... )
