I've narrowed down the meet-up location to two places, Chicago IL and Metropolis IL/Paducah KY for June 14-16, 2013 Here are the benefits of each one:

Chicago:
*better transportation hub for many - a major airport, bus hub and metro system
*looks like MegaBus.com has a lot of routes to Chicago for good prices ( Read more... )

I don't even know what this is, but if you're going to be in Chicago, I could be, too! My family lives just outside of the city.

Either choice works for me. Chicago's close enough I'd consider it a possibility. Paducah/Mtetropolis of course is a day trip for me. If someone's willing to do a price lined room (possibly) it's a serious possibility for Chicago.

If you are taking a vehicle there may be one hotel that I know of downtown that actually has free parking (something we couldn't make priceline work for.) We stayed at the Best Western in the River North District. If you're not then hotwire or Priceline works just fine (although I don't think we should price out a room until a couple weeks before we meet up.)

Yes, that's actually the weekend we are tentatively moving back to the States LOL. So at least the next get together I won't have to cross an ocean to do it :D

I've never been to Chicago! I want to see the museum too.

Oh well. Chicago sounds like a blast!

Oh, and its the weekend the movie opens!? We have to get tickets in advance... we have to!! :D

I've only driven through Chicago, so that will be fun!

I'm don't think they'll sell tickets more than a few eeks in advance but I will purchase them then. :)

Oh, I hope they sell tickets more in advance than that. As far as I'm concerned, its the biggest movie of the year!!
