Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, I was a member of the Science Fiction Book Club. I wasn't great at sending the monthly offerings form back to not get the books that they were offering that I didn't want, and ended up with some fantasy books I had absolutely no interest in. My friends helped me lay out the afghan squares yesterday, and I have almost half of them sewn together. I still don't think they realize how much time and aggravation that they saved me. A Scadian from one of the neighboring states passed away, and the pictures of the funeral were posted today. I did not know this man, but may have known some of the people attending, so I looked at the pictures.
