Giant Sea Spiders discovered in deep antarctic waters. By giant, they only mean dinner-plate sized, but it's a start. Also, jellyfish with 18-foot long tentacles.

Skiing didn't make a lot of sense to me when I was younger, it seemed like a lot of effort, gear, and weather conditions to rely upon just to break my dad's ribs- a task that can be accomplished much more economically at a skating rink, and those are open year round.
