We're stuck at home tonight (and possibly all weekend) due to the ice storm. I'm sad about being stuck home likely all weekend, because I wanted to go skating this weekend. I just finished hemming my first pair of jeans using the nearly-invisible-keep-the-original-hem-intact method, and it was a success. I will no long shy away from jeans that fit well just because they are 5 inches too long. I feel like this is some sort of turning point in my fashion life or something.

In case you haven't heard from me or Kathleen yet, I got a new job. After 6 and a half years at Hancock's, I have finally moved on. Thanks to Kathleen, I heard about an opening as a receptionist at her advertising agency. I decided to go in for an interview, and when hearing that the pay and benefits were way more decent than what I was getting at ( Read more... )
