wiki says its a Portmanteau of the Japanese word warui (悪い), meaning "bad," and the name Luigi, so that his name literally means "bad Luigi"

Well, that makes sense in Wario's case, but Waluigi just takes it to far! I propose they change it to appease me.

But everything about Waluigi is gay, so it's fitting. Don't even get me started on that upside down L.

YES. But I've wondered why isn't he like... Ruigi? Cause I mean the upside-down L looks the most like an R.

It's the sequel no one wanted, taking an okay idea to stupid town. His hat though makes me think he is actually endorsing the most awesome character in all of nintendo history: The L Block from Tetris. Now that is a fighter I want to play.

That hat bugs me nearly as much as his name.

I've always been partial to the I block, in the heat of the moment it's saved me more than any other.

Oh, oh yes the I block is the lynchpin of any Tetris line strategy. It is the soothing balm to the burn of bad construction, erasing mistakes with its awesome power. The L Block is the finesse piece, the true mark of skill in its application, and an angry mistress if you don't turn her right. That's why its awesome.

But, yes, that hat must burn for all that is good and holy in the world...I'm fairly certain it's responsible for a genocide somewhere.
