M is sick with the creeping crud.  Maybe tomorrow she will feel better, I hope.

On the good side.....
I got myself into a pair of 48 jeans and an XL t-shirt today.
I know, that doesn't exactly sound like something to brag about, but compared to last summer's 60 jeans and XXXL t-shirts, I'm feeling pretty good about it.
88 pounds down and counting.

My new call sign.  Now I just have to find a (cheap, remember I'm broke) radio again.  I extricated my old 2-meter magnetic-mount antenna from the depths of the back shed, so if I can find something to plug into it, I can get "radio-active" again.

It's Saturday and I'm glad to have a day off.

A friend GAVE me this yesterday... he was going to donate it to a charity until he heard about what happened to the Montana last week.

I was floored when he offered it to me.  It's in great shape for being 13 years old.  All it needed was one new tire.

Good news: Back to work.

Bad news: Got slammed on the way by an SUV and was 90 minutes late for my first day on my new job.  I'm lucky they didn't fire me.

The van will still run but the passenger side doors are crunched.

I wasn't injured.  I figure I just used up another one of my 9 lives today.

Still on course to start my new job on 11 May.  Other (higher-paying) opportunities in the meantime have not panned out.  One was a "we'll call you" and of course they never did and don't return my call.....the other was a (supposed) HR position that turned out to actually be an MLM life insurance sales gig.  Why would I want to have anything to do ( Read more... )
