Do you have any random advice for someone who just bought their first digital SLR camera? I've only really had a couple point-and-shoot cameras, never even a proper film camera. I want to take a photography class at some point, but the few I've seen have either sounded weak or much more in-depth (and expensive) than I can handle now. I've seen the PCNW online, so it's good to hear a recommendation on that, it's something I'm definitely going to look into in the future, when I can afford it.
I think I definitely need to just spend more time playing around with the settings; I have a basic understanding of them all, but I feel like I need to know when to adjust something, when to place one value, or type of value, higher than another.
I do know that I can't afford any other hobbies or interests. Until I win the lottery tonight.
