Supposedly it's a Harvest Moon tonight, because it is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox. The name is pretty straightforward--the moon is about 10 to 12% closer so it provides more light, allowing farmers to go on harvesting after the sun sets. The first thing I did when I clocked in at work today was trip over an ankle-breaker. I now have a massive blue lump on the top of my foot. OW.
