Cocoa's Holiday

Cocoa has gone back to his daddy now. David came around in his big BMW, and Cocoa went absolutely mental when I opened the door. I think he must have thought he'd gone for good or something. It's the first time he's been away for this long.

All in all, though, he's been very well-behaved for a 19-month-old very large chocolate Labrador. The only ( Read more... )

I might go to investigate the fish situation this weekend :P

Well a Mini 998 that's not too rusty but still needing a bit of attention can be £1500 ish, although they vary hugely - it's more dependent on luck. Although I want one that I can gradually do up like a retro Cooper. Parts are dirt cheap after all.

As for the insurance, I thought it would be a lot. But I checked with Admiral and it's about £900. That said, I know someone younger who has one on classic car insurance for £250 (!), but I don't know what the terms of that are.

£900 isn't bad,

classic car insurance is usually cheaper, but they've really started cutting back on the mileage they want you to do in them.

but then again that depends on the car and the company so...

whatever you do with the car, just remember i still have to get in it :P

I don't envisage living any further than about 5 miles from work - not within the next couple of years, anyway, so I wouldn't be doing that many miles... would I? I've been finding it hard to guess on the forms.

Hm yes, getting you in it may be a problem. Although you'd probably fit into an old Mini better than a new one.
