Time to update!

I went to Dallas to visit my sister and her husband for Christmas with my parents. We drove there. 18 hours (driving + stops) over 2 days. 1100 miles. 1 speeding ticket.... screw you, Memphis, Texas. All in all it was a good time. Christmas was pleasant, but very very different from the past. Certain traditions were held, such as

i liked that book! Have you seen the made-for-tv movie they did on it? its almost exactly like the book. really sweet.

I saw that it was on TV some time ago, but I didn't want to spoil the book by watching the movie.
