When you ask me if I'm returning to Tulane in the spring or not, it offends me. No, I won't give up on the city or the school. I may have been deeply affected by the catastrophe, but there is nothing hindering my ability to return, such as losing my home or family. It offends me as an assault on my character. I decided to take my time re-settling back in AZ, so I am currently on a week-and-a-half, three city tour of the east. The last place I wanted to be after being evacuated was AZ. Needless to say, the past week has been difficult.

Tuesday, August 23. I started to drive to New Orleans (4 day
drive, which included two nights in Dallas to see Audrey). 1700 miles, 26
hours.

Thursday, August 25. Hurricane hit Miami. Lorena's flight
got out in the morning before it hit (thank God she got out of there in
time...)
