Sorry if you see this twice. I've stuck it behind a cut here. It is x-posted to another community. ( story here )

That sounds worrying. I really hope you are ok.

1) Hope you are ok :-(
2) Caveat the rest with the fact the best medical training I've had is St John’s, House and Wikipedia ;-)
3) Several of the things you talked about are classic symptoms (Arm, Heavy Chest, Dizziness, Sweating, 'Impending Doom' etc) However I believe Angina attacks can be very similar but less severe.
4) Woman tend to experience Heart Attacks differently to men, often underplaying the pain, possibly to do with how woman and men experience pain differently
5) A Blood test would have showed elevated levels of creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB) fraction and the troponin levels if you had an MI or AMI and they would have given you an x-ray to see how much of the heart muscle had died.
6) I have no idea how long those levels are elevated for, by discharging yourself you may have missed the window you may not. I would talk to someone today and see. I would also ask to be referred to a Cardiac Specialist.

The Big Question is was it a Myocardial Infarction or Angina and how to deal with it.

ok I just looked it up and the following appear cannon
Name of test

Troponin (T or I) from 4-6 hours after the heart attack begins to 10-14 days (Very useful)

Creatine kinase MB, fraction (CK-MB)from 4-12 hours after the heart attack begins to 1-3 days (Very useful)

Myoglobin from 2-4 hours after the heart attack begins to 2-3 days (Somewhat useful)

SO the reason they had not taken you blood sooner was they were waiting for teh chemicals to get into it so they could test.....

If it was me I would not go to work, I would make an emergency appointment (Exaplain the sypmtoms A&E visit etc to get a morning one) and get the forms for a blood test. Then go to the hospital and actaully get one done TODAY. It might be worth going to A&E and exaplaining you walked out but you think that was a mistake, you might be able to bypass the GP.

make an appointment at your gp to get a blood test and tell them the scenario.

If this is happening with some kind of regularity. Keep an eye on it and have it investigated.

*HUGE HUGS*

*big hugs* That must have been scary to go through. I'm glad you had a Garry there for you!

Definitely get thee to a doctor ASAP, and if they are rubbish and don't listen properly, ask for a referral. And if you start feeling like it again, get to A&E ASAP...

...and eat less salt. ;-)

Blimey! I can only echo others here, in that getting the bloods done seems like a good idea now.

As for eating tofu rather than steaks, probably not needed. You're already going in the right direction by doing more cardiovascular exercise, so carry on.
