Get checked out. My grandfather had similar symptoms when he had a heart attack and didn't think he needed hospital. He was persuaded to go by his family but still died a few days later. If it's angina, sometimes they can unblock a blood vessel by a very simple procedure to put in a stent - my Dad had this. They will also give you drugs and dietary advice. From what I understand angina and heart disease are the same thing. Don't fool yourself into thinking it's not potentially serious.
That's concerning news. Hopefully it will turn out to be "just one of those things" although, yes, it's probably best to get medical confirmation of that.
Do you have private health insurance at all? (I ask because it's a benefit a lot of people I know receive, and usually manage to completely forget about.) I absolutely can't fault the NHS for the "parts of my body are hanging off, pls to be doing something about this" situations, but my parents found the private industry was a lot better at the, "I'm worried about something, can you look into it?" things.
(Admittedly I think that's mostly where the NHS is overrun with hypochondriacs and people looking to get signed off work, rather than any structural reasons.)
*hugs* Stop downplaying things and get yourself a blood test, you daft woman! Better that you find out it's nothing than ignore it and drop down dead before you're 40. Think of it as getting value for money out of your National Insurance contributions - you've already prepaid for your NHS care so you might as well get the benefit. *grin*
