I may have to eat my words about the UK not having a chance in hell of winning Eurovision. Apparently they are second favourites after France...and it is Blue, not Jedward representing the UK. Jedward are representing Ireland. However the UK song is still fairly shit.

 I have spare moneymaker tomato plants & Apricot Beauty foxgloves if anyone wants some. The foxgloves, being biennial, will flower next year & I will need the container back once you have repotted them as it is for my electric propagator. The tomatoes could also do with repotting, but are each in their own little pot.

Opinions please. I wish to put together a "Rock Chick" outfit. It will also probably double up with when I want to go goth, or possibly dress up as Death from the Endless, although not all of these are suitable for the third option. I would like it to fairly obviously not a christian cross as I am very unreligious.

Interesting theory about purring in the magazine from PetPlan. Cats obviously purr when they are happy. They also purr when they want something but solicitation purring has a high pitched element to communicate urgency. (This is cunningly of a frequency similar to a baby's cry.) Just realised today that since Cleo will be 8 in May, maybe I should start feeding her the more aged cats food as as lot of the Hills/Iams default cat food says for adults up to age 6. I've subscribed to the best of YouTube podcast. Some of it is awesome. Particularly parrot tricks, extreme sheep LED art & water marbles.

Planted some minnow, tulips & daffodils this weekend. I should have planted them by December but it rained for a month & then snowed for a month, so it wasn't practical. I wonder if any of them will grow. I confess, I chucked some of the daffodils. I was running out of places to put them & damage the grass every time I walk on it while it is ( Read more... )

Does anyone have a burning desire for a sparkly gold & turquoise ankle-length cloak? I acquired it from one of the Theatre Royal's costume sales a while ago but have never used it. Suitable for larping, fancy dress, or possibly cutting up & making into other things.
