Glamazon

That’s my word for today. Everyday I choose a word that sets my mood, something to give me motivation or fodder for thought as I go about my business. My business, what a silly phrase. Back to the word of the day, GLAMAZON. It’s a perfect word, a perfect concept, combining the woman warriors that cultivated masculine virtues, removing the left ( Read more... )

He's too unimportant to worry your pretty head about. The case will go nowhere, I think it's more a play for publicity on his part.

I wonder if it's anywhere near my key that says "I died off but now I'm back so please add me again." I'm not sure what Project Catwalk is but consider me being really supportive right now.

I started to think I really only needed ten friends or so; it's maddening going back and forth, remembering who you commented to and who you didn't, who demands that you comment and who doesn't care. It's a reality show, wanna be designers compete for a place at London's Fashion Week and a magazine spread. There is also a side competition for models to be the designer's muses. The British version is loads better than the American series, I attribute that to my presence. Support is always appreciated.

The Amazon mystique fascinates me as well. You've got to be serious about being a warrior when you remove your breast. That was a complex surgical procedure for that time, when you think about it. I'd much rather be killed by a pack of female warriors than any other possible pack of warriors.

In a certain sense, it isn't much different than plastic surgery, the body modification to adhere to an ideal. Some mythology has them removing their own breast, which is more than I could imagine being able to endure; it would be bad enough having someone else do it for you. You would hope they would be more humane about the whole procedure, offering a quick death with a bit of apology during the process. There is the unfortunate fact that they killed off their male offspring, but the ideal of only going to neighbouring tribes with males for a little sperm supply is something I could live with.

Wonder Woman is beautiful, but I have always loved Xena. Perhaps it is the leather.

I never watched the Xena show so I don't know too much about her. Leather is always a plus in any outfit, especially when one is going out as a warrior princess.

I remember watching the show, but I don't really remember the plotlines. Granted, she also got to wield a very large sword and kick the ass of men twice her size. Who wouldn't want to do that?
