bury my wounded knee at barnet general

The knee is still not well. My GP says it should be pretty much healed by now, but it's still weak and sore and I still can't put a lot of weight on it, so he referred me to the orthopaedic clinic up at Barnet General. Who x-rayed the damn thing again, then poked and prodded and twisted it some, and then gave me a leg-brace that's a sort of ( Read more... )

My sympathies, Hutch; but like mylefteye wrote, no one's yet mentioned amputation.

My son had a similar problem, in that the miniscus (sp?) in his knee was torn, and he had to have surgery to correct it. He's doing fine now. Just make sure you have a good doctor.

Hang in there. I don't like the S word either. But sometimes we have to do it. I'm pitching for you, Hutch! With lots of hugs! XXOO

What I'm actually hoping for is that it's a long-term non-surgical condition, then I can get a walking stick, put on my Doctor House face and be all curmudgeonly and talk about Lupus a lot.
