100 best films, part 2
Comparing the 1998 list to the 2007 list, I wonder what they'll add in 2016? The politicized D.W.Griffith switcheroo (I said switcheroo!) is kind of lame. Also I take issue with the removal of The Third Man, Fargo , Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and Rebel Without a Cause (yes, Rebel: because why not?). -

Looking at AFI's list of the top 100 movies, I am pretty amazed at how many of these movies I haven't seen. J. and I are holding a "Top 100 movie marathon" to turn our woulda-shouldas into dids.

A-ok day. J. was clicking up a storm with his new camera. His phone was ringing off the hook with birthday wishes. R. called him from Australia on Friday, since 'it was already his birthday there'. We worried for what felt like an eternity, but I think it was only for fifteen minutes this afternoon when we heard about the explosion at Grand Central Station. One minute I was looking at B.'s scary clown drawings, next he tells us he's getting evacuated because of an explosion down the street. J. shouting "get out of there!" into the phone.
