There is no cure for the cold, as redundant as this statement sounds.
Just plenty of bed rest, liquids (preferably water), and any food or drinks rich in vitamin C will help you fight it off. Chicken soup does, in fact, help quite a bit. Also, green tea or white tea have anti oxidants that help, too.
