Yay mural!

How long are you in Chicago? You left a comment saying I should party with you... unfortunately, my computer was packed up and I only got it once home, which was before the time of par-tay anyhow. But! I will be back Sunday night, albeit a little sick and needing a full night's rest before YSP starts Monday, but after that generally around (save YSP hours) and missing you! I can't paint to save my life, but I'd be more than happy to keep you company while you're muraling, or come over and cook (or, we could even cook at my place, which is not as cool but on 57th and Kimbark - ridiculously close to campus) or whatever. So... yeah. Bunnies and rainbows!

I made a very elaborate meal tonight that I am giddy about and you are one of the only people who would understand ;-) roasted root vegetables (sweet potatoes, carrots, leeks, turnips, garlic), oyster mushrooms, and pork with rhubarb sauce (rhubarbs, strawberries, honey, garlic, beer, broth, pears, rosemary, all simmered and then strained through a seive). We made this crazy-elaborate sauce because we were going to make a strawberry-rhubarb pie, but didn't have any flour!
