One day (I estimate it is probably a year ago) I read one of your contributions and took a look at your [other] journal and added you. I do not recall the exact event, but looking at your profile I guess it was a contribution in sunshine_girl's journal. I am sure I noted the rational/pagan combination, too.
We have had only a little snow one day this year so far. I tend to like to have a little bit more, albeit mostly for the ice skating after a few days. I am not fond of lots of snow and really low temperatures, though.
I am sure I noted the rational/pagan combination, too.
That was less than coherent (which I just realized when involved in some household chore). That's what I get for trying to answer while not having a lot of time for it.
What I actually meant to say is that I was struck by a (wholly different) combination that in my experience is rare when I added you. Not one I ever consciously tried to formulate, but somewhere in between philosophy/psychology, bellydance (and other 'pagan-like' things), and some then-recent entries (conveying a certain way of looking at life).
[BTW, I think that 'rational' (in the Keirseyan sense) is a pretty bad misnomer. To Jung I would have been one of the 'irrational' types. ;)]
N.B. This Sunday I am flying to the U.S. for a week, so responses may be slow.

Nice pictures! Looks like you got a little more snow than we did, though we were still thoroughly covered. The coolest thing for me was that all the snow crusted over with a thick layer of ice, and Autumn was able to walk across the whole yard without leaving a trace in the snow. Needless to say, I cracked right through. I thought of Gulf Shores when I saw the patterns, too, before I read your caption.

Autumn Grace is 8, Rowan 10, Anastasia 13 (can you believe that!), and Melissa (my-stepdaughter) is 18.
PS I am going to remove this shorty and put it back in with just first letters just to be safe (a lot of people have this url and it is now not just connected with some person but me personally for people who live locally) so don't think I'm nuts when you get this again with just letters.
I'm peeking out of the drifts of white papers that have accumulated over me in the quarter. I don't see my shadow, so I'm thinking I'll emerge fully here in a week or two.
Hope you had a happy birthday! Our university stayed open during one insane blizzard, closed for a little rain, and reopened for the ice storm. Logical? Hells no, as my students would say.
Here's a gallery of how the same storm hit Cincinnati in the form of glittering ice jewels.

I _a_ Mobile Jesseca, nee Cornelson. I think I met you once or twice? You're Frederic, the singing and composing cousin who starred in Tom Sawyer or Huck Finn or Famous Little Boy of Mark Twain vintage?
Indeedily, I live in the 'Nati! Once a student, always a student.

Yes, as she said... Not the one you were thinking of; but equally so and more long term, my very good friend. And, nee (like all of us) a bit awkward and not quite yet put together back in high school, now turned one majorly hot babe (or in Fred's case dude). :)

And, no... Honestly, I hate snow. I mean it's lovely to look at from afar, yes, but no fun to live in.
