Well it is the decline of the American Empire isn't it? Start with education and moral values will quickly follow. Take a random pole of people on the street and ask them if they know who General McArthur was, or ask them any number of general knowledge questions, and most will be stumped. Now, once upon a time, you couldn't graduate from high school without learning this stuff! I'm not talking about very arcane knowledge here, this is high school stuff!
