There was a period of my life I was absolutely dying to be a trickster god, but I realized after some study that there is more darkness in them than I'm willing to take on. I'll settle for making people laugh.

This line stopped me in my tracks, "If blushing were a sound, Rafaela would have deafened the room." Man, do I know that sound!
I love the slapstick nature of the trickster scuffle, and the ending is just perfect resigned hilarity.

When you dress like a glittery carrot, you have to expect Bugs Bunny to show up. ;) I always thought Bugs should have been a fox.

I don't know if you knew this, but Bugs is based on the Native American Coyote, a powerful trickster. Not quite a fox, but really close.

Fun story, I like the way it started so cute and sweet and turned darker and then ended on that lovely sweet note.

So creative! The prom turned into a trickster fable/cartoon mash, which was really funny. When someone says "I thought you were human," "we'll talk about it later" is probably not the response she was hoping for. "I look like a glittery carrot that somebody painted a face on" was a great line, and so accurate!

I have to wonder what response she was looking for to that declaration.
