bert_the_turtle's entry about monkey island inspired me to start playing those early lucas art games again. i sure had a helluva time both finding and getting them to run on my computer, but oh was it worth it. The Secret of Monkey Island is definately an awesome game.

Where'd you find them? I don't use file sharing software--which I assume is what you used--but if you found them on the web let me know.

well, after many fruitless searches on google and on my file shareing network, i bit the bullet and checked out amazon.com. where folks were selling the game for the low low price of $79.95. fuck that dude, so i went to ebay, and found a guy in the uk who was selling downloads of MI and MI2 bundled together for $17.50, so here the url i was given http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MXIHULX0 the second one plays no problem, but you have to setup ScummVm to get the first one to work. luckily it just so happens that ScummVm is in the MI2 folder. and i just checked the link today and it still works.
