My parents are away for the week, which aside from the nightly wild drunken Romanesque orgies, has meant that I have had to cook my own dinner. Hey Waffler, thanks for your comment! I like your icon too :) To answer your question, it is a photo of (IMHO) the greatest composer of all time, Gustav Mahler, 19th/20th century Austrian symphonist. It certainly gives my blog a sense of much-needed dignity!
