Ha! Whoa. I guess it's not a huge surprise because it's not like I was ever assuming he was one or the other - I just never thought of him paired with ANYONE.
But then, most of the Hogwarts faculty seem to be single, don't they? Sure, Dumbledore has never mentioned any relationship with a woman, but I don't believe that McGonagall has ever mentioned a man...and most of the other professors also seem to be kind of...asexual....
However, JK Rowling just regained a bit of the respect she lost after writing that ungodly Epilogue.
*Is hunting around Julie's friends to see their opinions on it since my post was mostly ignored.*
I don't really care for the love lives of 100+ year olds. Also, in the same interview, she says Neville (the new Herbology professor) marries Hannah Abbott, who is now the landlady of the Leaky Cauldron. But that's a different generation so it doesn't discount Vicrum's statement that all of the professors seem to be single. (Sorry if I mangled your name!)
