Why is everyone gay?  Well, that or Bi?  I mean, Seriously.

Not that I have anything against homosexuals... it just seems to lose it's glamor and surprise when EVERYONE is into the same sex.

Sorry.  Had to say it.  You can blame Torchwood.

Somehow, I don't think that gay people choose to be gay for "glamor and surprise".

Yes, that is how I understand it as well. I'm not really talking to the gay community, I'm talking to God, or the Oversoul, or whatever it is that can be considered a higher power.

Chance, perhaps?

But maybe sexuality isn't as categorizable (is this a word?) as you think. I'm reading this book called "Genome" by Matt Ridley, and one chapter is about how there seems to be a genetic component AND a social component to sexuality. So it's not "Nature or Nurture", it's "Nature and Nurture".

Meaning, human sexuality is a heck of a lot more complex than people previously imagined. I don't think it's so surprising that there are so many homosexuals, because I bet tons of people have homosexual and heterosexual qualities, and identify as one or the other, without being entirely either.

I should go into biopsychology...I get way too interested in these topics.

Pretty much everything though is "Nature and Nurture", as you put it. Human psychology is a complex thing and I'm not claiming to know exactly what reasons one might be each.

Though I do notice a sort of social openness to the subject nowadays, and that might make the grey areas of sexuality more apparent to those that experience anything in the middle of the spectrum (as opposed to purely homo/heterosexual).
