1. The knitting olympics started this evening. I managed to cast-on my project. It's going to be a baby afghan in lavender using a basketweave design. Today I also managed to finish a chenille evening wrap for a friend at work. It should look smashing next weekend for the Chef's Gala. I have decided to participate in the Yarn Harlot's Knitting Olympics. I hate getting on here and whining, but that's what I'm going to do. I'm having problems with pain. I don't think I'm in a flare because I'm not real tired, but my legs and hips are killing me. I can hardly move right now. Friday night I went walking at the mall and then dancing with some friends. Saturday morning I got up early and walked 3 miles at the mall. This morning I did the Lady Track Shack 5K in Winter Park and it darn near killed me. I guess I'll have to only exercise every other day ( Read more... )

A lot has been going on this past week, so I haven't had much time for updates. I got my biopsy results back, it came back as expected. Precancerous cells were removed. It’s been a little while since I did an update. I haven’t sat still long enough to really say anything. Work has been crazy as we’re trying to get everything in so we can do tax statements by the end of next month. I’ve been attending a lot of holiday gatherings and baking massive amount of cookies. Today is Pearl Harbor Day. God Bless the Vets! My father, uncles and grand-father were all WWII vets, but my uncle Jerry was actually on one of the ships that got hit in Pearl Harbor. He lived to tell about it. Scary stuff!

On another note, today is my surgery day. I'll be leaving shortly. Wish me luck!
