Yesterday was Arashi's 25th anniversary.
All 82 of their music videos are now available in their Youtube channel in all its HD glory. Honestly I was really emotional, as cringey it may seem. As it turns out, Arashi still holds a very special place in my heart. 🥹

Today I have decided to clean my Downloads folder and as it turns out, I have this habit of downloading Arashi files from several LJ comms then completely forgetting about it until now that I have to organize and delete some shit.

Apparently, Arashi has released around 256 songs from their 16 studio albums, and now they're available online. They have also released much earlier online their singles, sadly not counting the B-sides though.
What a time to be alive indeed.
But, somehow, it feels like Arashi suddenly opening its doors to the world looks like the group's swan song ( Read more... ) -

About two years ago, our family faced one --if not, the most destructive conflicts in our lives, fracturing our ties with one another.
As way to escape, I listened to Arashi and 'Daylight' kept playing in my head.
Since then, hearing the song always gives me this weird feeling of sadness and anxiety.

So, Arashi released the official video for Turning Up (R3HAB Remix) and I have mixed reactions.
While it is a good song in general, it definitely isn't their best, imo, and after watching the video I have a few things to say:

The 2020 hit me like a slow-moving truck gradually crushing me with fact that at the end of the year, the dreaded Hiatus is on.
I can't sleep last night. The Christmas break kinda fucked up my sleeping schedule so now I sleep around 3 to 4 in the morning.

It's the 2nd of January 2020. Only 363 days left before Arashi goes on hiatus. Thinking about it still makes my chest feel tight.

I've been away from JPop (but it was just actually 90% Arashi 😅) fandom for quite a while that I just found out now that Nishikido Ryo has quit the agency.
Although he wasn't exactly my favorite in Kanjani8 (he was actually my least favorite, sorry to his fans ✌😁) it's still sad to see another member of Kanjani8 leave - they are after all, my other ( Read more... )
