Fic auction for Casimir Effect - Authors post

May 26, 2010 19:06

In an effort to find another way to raise money for the film, and one that allows more fans to contribute, it was suggested by jovialien that we hold a fic auction.

It’s my first attempt so I’ll keep the guidelines loose, if you have any recommendations please PM me;

LengthWhatever you feel comfortable with; it can be a drabble, 1000 words, 5000 words or ( Read more... )

I'll offer a Torchwood fic, preferably Jack/Ianto, any genre really. ^_^
Length, a drabble or around 1k words.
I've never really done this before, so I don't know what a minimum bid would be....you can pick one. Something small though, not sure my writing is worth that much.
Thanks.

Thanks for taking part :)

I'll see what suggestions we get for minimum bids and use that as a guide. I'm sure you'll do great!

Thanks. ^_^
Is there a specific place I need to be watching to see what prompt I get, or will I get messaged, or...

Once we've closed the offer stage I'll post out to the various comms asking for people to bid. I'll give them a deadline of 2 weeks and then confirm to everyone who's won what. My plan is that I'll message you so you know who's won your fic and then you can get in touch to arrange the fic. Hopefully that makes sense and will keep things fairly straightforward.

count me in - a Torchwood fic Jack/Ianto - up to 5000 words ...no mpreg though - done that! once and never again - winner bidder can set prompts :-)

But, I'll be hoping for a minimum of £20 towards Gareth's film ... he's worth it :-)

I'd better put my time where my mouth is I guess. ;)

I'll offer any TW slash EXCEPT for Gwen or Owen. Sorry, they're not my type, but I'll happy have Jack/Ianto, Jack/Ianto/John, Jack/Ianto/Tosh, Tosh/John etc etc etc.
I can also do gen if anyone wants it.

I'm also happy to write New Who characters, no major turn offs there so gen or slash prompts welcome, just no Donna sex - I love her as a character way too much to slash her!

If anyone wants a time meme fic from one of my existing stories I'm happy to oblige too.

I've never done an auction before so I'm not sure what the format is but I'll go with the ebay format and say minimum bid £1 for a hundred words - if you want a drabble, you can "buy it now" for a pound, if you want a longer fic you gotta bid for it! ;)

I'll give it a go. Jack/Ianto Torchwood fic (willing to do a crossover if I know the fandom and any pairing if Jack/Ianto isn't desired). Up to 3000 words. Winning bidder would need to give prompts. Anything goes. $10 minimum bid. Kinda low, but I've only finished works in the Brokeback Mountain and Twilight fandoms, so I'm kind of untested as far as anyone bidding would be concerned. Sample writing here chamilet

Oh, I'm always happy to whore my writing out for a good cause! :D

I can donate a 1000(ish)-word ficlet, Torchwood (or a TW crossover; I'm write New Who, Harry Potter, Firefly, and Merlin, but I can research others), any rating, no hard-core kinks, no mpreg (unless it's Jack, maybe, and even then it will mean NOTHING BUT ANGST, ANGST I TELL YOU!); I'm more comfortable writing slash but could be persuaded to branch out into femmeslash or (eep!) het.

My (not quite up-to-date, but it'll give an idea of my writing style) Masterlist!

Any idea of what you'd like as a minimum bid?
