Joseph and I are in D.C., on our way all over the Northeast for three whole weeks! I am so freakin' excited! We tromped around to all the monuments and the White House today, and we're hitting some of the museums tomorrow,then it's off to Baltimore for some obligatory fawning over the town that inspired John Waters and Divine. The secret rendezvous' still make my heart thud in my chest, these stolen moments found in parking lots and coffee houses, only time for a touch and a kiss and boundless frustrations. It's odd to have any ounce of control over a man notorious for being so in control, so unshakable...

So, I said , "It looks like it's going to rain."

And he said, "Lisa, we've been on this beach for hours. There's no way it is going to rain."

And then a drop hit his cheek and he laughed. "So, now you're a weather girl, huh?"

And we stood hand in hand in front of the ocean, the sky puring down on us.
