Having left Casey at the elevator, Lindsay made her way back to her apartment with a smile on her face. She and Casey'd had a good day, shopping and eating and people-watching and just hanging out. It was what she'd needed, and she was better off for it.
She dropped her stuff off and made her way over to Danny's. She'd talked to him while she was on the train, and he'd told her to stop by when she got home. And after her talk with Casey over dinner, she wasn't checking up on him, because she trusted him. Lindsay knocked on his door and leaned against the frame as she waited, jingling her keys in her hand.
Danny and Flack were wrestling over the controller when they heard the knock on the door. "Fuck it, you win.." Danny grumbled, smirking as he pushed himself up and headed for the door. Part of him hoped it was Lindsay, he'd been thrilled to hear from her earlier. Thrilled enough that Don had been ribbing him for the past hour.
He pulled the door open part way, moving to block the inside of the apartment from Lindsay out of habit. "Well, look who's back from her trip to the city," he teased softly, his eyes meeting hers. "Wanna come in?"
Lindsay smiled at Danny, leaning in and kissing him hello. "Sure," she said before leaning in and whispering against his ear, "By the way, I got something for you today."
Danny grinned against Lindsay's lips, kissing her softly. "Oh, did you? Like what?"
He laughed as he pulled away, calling out, "Hey Don, get some clothes on, we have company." He opened the door, tugging Lindsay inside gently, his arm going around her waist.
"Last time I checked, Messer, pants counted as clothes. Not my fault my shirt's missing." Flack muttered, smirking as he leaned back against Danny's couch. He flipped Danny off before waving his fingers at Lindsay. "Hey, Monroe."
