She smiled and crouched down when Rex came bounding up to her, all paws and tongue. "Hey, sweetiepie," she smiled and scratched at his ears. "Did you miss momma? Hm? I missed you. Yes I did," she said, babytalking to the dog.

He laughed, shaking his head as he made his way to her and crouched down. Leaning over, he pressed a quick kiss to her cheek. "You know, I'm glad you have him. Because I might have to leave if you tried talking to me like that."

"Is he making fun of me, Rex? Is he?" she cooed at the dog and laughed when he barked at her. "If I ever tried to talk to you that way, I'd expect you to leave me, Danny." Lindsay leaned over and kissed him, half falling against him when Rex nudged her.

Danny wrapped an arm around Lindsay, keeping her steady as he kissed her. "Good dog." Snickering, he reached over to pet Rex with his free hand. "Then that's settled," he teased.
