Lindsay had just said goodbye to Casey and turned to see Danny coming out of the bedroom, laughing as she saw his hat and shirt. "Are you trying to get beaten up, Messer?"

"I'm allowed to cheer for my.. well, it's sorta my team." Danny grinned, moving his arms around Lindsay's waist. He laughed and kissed her neck. "You can protect me."

She laughed and leaned into him. "Yeah, yeah. Good thing I'm bringing my badge, then, isn't it?"

Lindsay wrapped her arms around his shoulders and rubbed her nose against his. "Hey you," she said softly, a loving smile on her face.

He snorted, breaking into a smile. "Yeah, and it's why I'm planning to bring mine, too."

Danny lifted his head to kiss the tip of her nose. "Hey. Happy birthday," he said quietly, tightening his hold on her.
