Concerts???

I was reading some lj's in the past few weeks and thinking about summer and i realized that no GOOD bands these days go on tour much anymore. Pop punk crap is always on tour and doing shows all over the place like warped tour all summer and stuff. I mean bands like Blut Aus Nord, Dragonforce, The Mars Volta, Maiden, etc etc. Now sure these bands

and Weezer isn't bad... you have some of their CDs if I recall ;) lol And also, you put The Mars Volta under good and bad... huh? THEY'RE CLEARLY GOOD. GEEZ. lol

he was saying that good bands (weezer and the mars volta) tour with bad bands (foo fighters and sysetm of a down). personally i don't mind foo fighters i like their music. but his point was that all of his favorite bands should tour together.

most of it is metal so it makes sense.

yes as Dan put it i think that Mars Volta is good they just tour with crap, and a lot of our bands tour in europe why cant theirs come over here more often to michigan

i agree with you. blut aus nord is only ok though. i'm not saying that i don't like pop punk or the music at the warped tour. because i do. but i think more of those bands should tour up here.

i saw bodom, theyre doing a u.s. tour this year and sonata arctica who is also from finland is coming to detroit too. I believe cryptopsy has been touring as well for thier new album becuase they were in detroit not to long ago and btbam and red chord have came by a couple of times. Other than that theyre really hasnt been that many tours going on.

yes bodom came here for one time in as long as i know, i looked some for crytopsy and didnt see any dates for them but i didnt look too hard, i didnt know red chord came either and i havent heard of the other two bands you said

oh sonata's like dragonforce but theyre singer is really foreign sounding but theyre pretty awesome. Theyre from finland like Bodom and they kind of look the same too.

What are you talking about? You're crazy. Ozzfest has phenomenal bands, especially this year. The lineup was amazing. But at concerts like that, your favorite band will come up for 20 minutes and be done. You can only go to so many of those. Good metal bands always come through Detroit on their own. They don't need some lame ass game system to set up their concert (Nintendo Fusion Gay Ass Tour).

P.S. I agree: Pop punk bands suck balls.

Yes ozzfest had decent bands this year but in years past with Korn and linkin park and bands like that they suck. this year there were probably 8-10 good bands actually but it has been better in the past. i f'in hate pop punk soo much and especially the gay ass tours they put on. all the pop punk are sellouts and go to those gay ass places and ijust wanna go there and beat them all for their terrible music.

P.S. its not soo much the band at ozzfest its more of they are bands that tour the U.S. often and they need to get some more foreign stuff

I'd have to really like a band to go see a concert. It's not worth it. Usually they are almost all down in detroit, you have to ride down their for two hours and then deal with the loud shitty atmosphere of drunk hicks trying to mosh.

yeah i dont like trivium either but i like Bodom and Amon amarth. However Bodom is going really down hill.
