Hey hun-
Go where you want to go to college. You need to do what is best for you and makes you happy. This is your life not theirs. they will have to let go eventually. If they won't help you grants and scholarships that will. I love you hun. Call me sometime

Yes, this is America. You have the right to go to any college you want to go to. But you also have to take into consideration what colleges you are able to go to. There is a difference between rights and abilities. If you want your parents to pay for it, it looks like they will have more of a say. But I'm sure you can have more of a say if you pay for it yourself. Besides, don't think of this as your only opportunity to go to college and the one you end up going to is the only one you end up going to. My mom didn't go to college right after school. she went to like 3 or 4 different colleges in different times of her life and paid for it herself.

Come live in my room @ Beloit! My roomie won't mind, but you have to sleep on the floor. I'm going to college right now and my parents pay zero dollars. It is incredibly difficult, I won't lie. I had to pull some fancy footwork, and you do need someone who is over the age of 21 and has good credit to cosign with you on a loan to cover the tuition that grants and things don't cover. My advice to you would be to start working your ass off at as many jobs as possible. Save every last fucking penny, and spend nothing. Then, you can afford to eat in college. Don't let your parents run your life. If you get the money yourself to go to college they really have no say in how you do it, do they? You can call me if you want to talk more about paying for college on your own, you have my number and i'll post it JIC you don't.
